NoteMonocaulous or once-branched treelets to ca. 4 m tall, bark light gray. Leaves dark green above, midvein slightly lighter, secondary venation hardly visible, blades pale green below, midvein lighter, tinged brownish purple at the base, margins not undulate, petiolule nearly absent, petiole brownish purple, base contrasting strongly with stem. Infructescence terminal, primary axis ca.10 cm long, secondary axes 8, terminal ones ascending, 2 lateral ones horizontal, dark green tinged purplish throughout, pedicels same color immature fruit bright green, palest at base, progressively dark distally, tinged somewhat purplish below calyx rim, disc yellow green, style slight lighter, stylar branches spreading to nearly reflexed, more mature fruits turning purple. Second collection since McKee's first.
