Location	Cordillera del Cóndor region. West side of upper Río Nangaritza, along road about 13 km south of Guayzimi. Silica mine "La Daniela". Dense wet forest on sloping Hollín sandstone plateau, being mined for silica sand for glass manufacture. 970 m elev.

Note	Small tree 4 m tall, fertile at this size, but mature trees attain 20 m in height and 25 cm DBH. Leaf rachis quadrangular. Calyx 5-angled. Corolla campanulate, the lobes reflexed, pale violet, lightening to cream-white at base of corolla tube.
