Dense, wet cloud forest on steep slopes on substrate of mixed sandstone and clay soil. Dwarf forest on exposed ridges with higher quartzite sand content. 1320 m elev.

NoteTerrestrial herb in waste ground along road cut. Stems ascending. Stems and petioles reddish. Corolla cream to pale greenish.
