| Location | Cordillera del Cóndor region. Upper Río Wawaime watershed, tributary of Río Quimi. Near site of proposed EcuaCorriente copper mine. Dense, wet cloud forest on steep slopes on substrate of mixed sandstone and clay soil. Dwarf forest on exposed ridges with higher quartzite sand content. 1320 m elev. |

| Note | Tree 10 m tall, with dense, compact crown of leaves. Fruits borne at outer edge of crown, just above the leaves. Fruits irregularly globose, green suffused dark reddish, with very hard stony endocarp. |
