NoteTerrestrial; internodes to 15 cm long, 1 cm diam., medium green, semiglossy, becoming olive-green; cataphylls persisting intact; petioles subterete, obtusely flattened, tinged purplish violet; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and weakly glossy above, moderately paler and semiglossy below; midrib bluntly acute tinged purplish above, round-raised and paler below; primary lateral veins sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and concolorous below; spathe medium green, spreading; spadix dark violet-purple, semiglossy.
