NoteTerrestrial on road bank in shade; internodes 4.0-4.5 cm long, 2.8-3.6 cm diam., dark green, weakly glossy; cataphylls 19 cm long, tinged purplish and spotted, marcescent, soon deciduous; petioles 35-40 cm long, obtusely to acutely flattened adaxially, 7 mm diam., medium green, weakly glossy, sparcely speckled with red-purple; blades 45-50 cm long, 20-23.7 cm wide, subcoriaceous, dark green and weakly glossy above, moderately paler and semiglossy below; midrib bluntly angular and slightly paler, acute toward apex above, narrowly rounded and maroon below; primary lateral veins 7-10 pairs, sunken-quilted and concolorous above, convex and pleated below; tertiary veins moderately obscure; inflorescence erect-spreading; peduncle 0-51 cm long, 7 mm diam., colored like petioles; spathe erect, hooding, pale green, glossy, spotted red-purple, erect hooding, 9.7-10.2 cm long, 6.7-7.2 cm wide, enshrouding spadix; spadix greenish yellow-brown, weakly glossy, sessile 10.8 cm long, 1.3 cm diam. at base, 1.1 cm diam. 1 cm from tip, becoming greenish from post-anthesis with prominently exserted green pistils; berries yellow with green tip, 10-11 mm long, 5-6 mm diam., emerging before fully mature.
