NoteTerrestrial on trail bank; internodes short, 2.5 cm diam.; cataphylls 30 cm long, medium green, semiglossy, persisting intact briefly, then rotting, only the bases persisting; petioles terete 9 mm diam., dark green, weakly glossy; geniculum 5.5 cm long, slightly thick; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and semiglossy above, slightly paler and glossy below; midrib narrowly rounded and slightly paler above, bluntly angular and paler below; primary lateral veins narrowly rounded and concolorous above, bluntly angular and slightly paler below; inflorescence erect; spathe medium green, moderately glossy erect-recurled with the base wrapped around spadix; spadix greenish white ca. 20 cm long, 1 cm diam. midway, weakly glossy.
