Location	Along Río Qujos at bridge along road to Parque Nacional Sumaco Napo Galeras, Sector Gonzales Diaz de Pineda between main Baeza-Lago Agrio Rd. and village of Gonzales Diaz de Pineda (departing main road at 25.3 km S of bridge over Río Quijos just N of Baeza), 0.8 km before reaching town of Gonzalez Diaz de Pineda. 1450 m elev.

Note	Terrestrial on steep rocky area; internodes 1-2 cm long, medium to dark green, moderately glossy, 1.5 cm diam.; petioles erect-spreading, sheathed 2/3 to nearly throughout, mostly 1.5-2.0 cm from base of blade, sheath erect-incurled, rounded at apex, free part acutely sulcate; blades moderately coriaceous, dark green and matte-subvelvety above, moderately paler and semiglossy below; midrib deeply sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and slightly paler below; primary lateral veins obscure on both surfaces; inflorescence cernuous, 4 mm, medium green, semiglossy; spathe brown, persisting on spadix, loosely fitting and seemingly unopened; spadix creamy white to faintly greenish, 6.2 cm long, 1.2 cm diam., narrowly rounded at apex.
