NoteMixed conifer forest of subalpine fir, Douglas fir, lodgepole pine,and aspen mixed with Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana and snowberry. Substrate sloping. Robust plants 5 dm; Lower leaves smaller and soon deciduous, leaves larger going up the stem; bracts imbricate, tending to be keeled, chartaceous below, outer acuminate somewhat greenish upwards, foliaceous; rays white-pink 9-15 mm.
