Remarks

Epiphyte; stem to 3/4 m long; internodes short, 6 cm diam.; cataphyll fibers persistent, red-brown with pale fibers; petioles terete, 78-150 cm long, 12-19 mm diam., medium green (covered with dark green scurf), weakly and obtusely sulcate toward apex; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and semiglossy above, moderately paler and weakly glossy below; midrib bluntly acute and moderately paler above, convex and paler below with blunt medial ridge and 2 marginal ribs along medial ridge below; primary lateral veins bluntly acute and paler above, thickly raised, paler and several ribbed below; tertiary veins in part sunken above, raised below; collective veins from 3-4 basal veins; inflorescence erect; peduncle 12 cm diam., 46 cm long, medium green, weakly glossy, faintly short lineate; spathe hooding, semiglossy and green tinged pink outside, more or less brick-red and glossy inside, 20.5 cm long, cupuliform, 14 cm wide, 9 cm across at anthers; spadix purplish violet, matte, 20 cm x 3.5 cm, 9.5 cm circumference, narrowly oblong-ellipsoid.
