Remarks

In rocky soil at crest of slope. Tree, 6-8 m tall; sepals green; petals pinkish red; young and old (blackened and dehisced) fruit on some branches.

Upper edge of steep slope above river, accessible from road; mixture of shrubs and small trees, including Delavaya, Broussonettia, Morus, Buddleja and Campylotropis. 24°11'57"N, 103°32'44"E; 1560-1570 m.
