Remarks

Treelet 5 m tall. On the ditch bank. Leaves with minute brownish prickles just above sheath. Fruit a solitary syncarp, pending on a long curved peduncle, c. 20 cm long. Syncarp yellow, immature, with spiniform stigmas.
