Sub-acaulescent Pandan with one clump of long leaves (c. 3.5 m in length), sometimes short trunk, 10-15 cm with proproots, stem 2.5 cm in diam. Leaves glaucous, somehow blue on the dorsal side; prickles on midvein yellow, retrose. Infrutescence on a very long peduncle, c. 1.3 x 85 cm, straight. Fruit a syncarp, bright red when ripped, fleshy, oblong, 4.5 x 10 cm; drupe 0.8 x 1.3 with a flat apex; stigma horizontal, reniform, c. 1mm wide.
