Description

As seen in 3 occurrences, in Idaho, Washington and California, United States: Plants grow in clumps on the forest floor in Idaho and Washington, and on a forest bank in California. The once-pinnate fronds are arranged in erect, ascending, or spreading vase-like rosettes, with scaly stipes rising from the crown and rachises bearing toothed green pinnae. On the fertile frond undersides, circular sori with peltate indusia are arranged in rows on either side of the pinna midribs, appearing pale green to pale greenish-yellow when unripe and maturing to brownish or brownish-orange.
