Jinghong-shi. Xishuangbanna Daizuzi-Zhizhou; northeast of Dadugang-Xiang and between Dadugang-Xiang and Puwen-zhen along route G213. Mixed broadleaved evergreen and deciduous forest with mixed Fagaceae (Castanopsis and Lithocarpus) and Lauraceae with Engelhardtia and several genera of Fabaceae. 965-1200 m. elev.

Single tree in cleared area on side of road. Tree, ca. 25 m tall, ca. 35 cm dbh; lowest branches ca. 10 m above ground; sepals pale green; petals white; filaments white, fresh anthers yellow.
