Sub-acaulescent shrub, with short trunk. Leaves c. 3 x 150 cm. Syncarp solitary, on a short peduncle, c. 10 cm in length. Syncarp subellipsoïd, c. 5 x 10 cm, dark green, hidden by numerous bracts. Stigmas deflected, spiniform, 4-6 mm long.
