Terrestrial on steep bank; internodes medium green and weakly glossy, becoming light gray-brown; petioles sheathed throughout; free-ending, usually above base of blade, medium to dark green and weakly glossy; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and weakly glossy above, moderately paler and semiglossy below; midrib sunken and concolorous above, narrowly rounded and paler below; primary lateral veins very weakly pleated-raised and concolorous above, flattened and scarcely visible, concolorous below; inflorescence erect; spathe whitish; spadix creamy white, 5 cm x 6.5 mm, matte.
