Terrestrial on steep bank; internodes to 6 cm long, 1.5-1.8 cm diam., light gray-brown, weakly transverse-fissured; cataphylls deciduous; petioles subterete, medium to dark green, matte, narrowly and obtusely sulcate; blades thin, dark green and semiglossy above, moderately paler and matte below; midrib acute and concolorous above, narrowly round-raised and paler below; primary lateral veins etched-sunken and concolorous above, narrowly raised and concolorous below; inflorescence erect; spathe medium green, spreading; spadix dark bluish green, glaucous.
