Epiphyte at 3 m; internodes short, 3 cm diam.; cataphylls fibers persisting, red-brown; petiole terete, obtuse and narrowly sulcate, dark green, semiglossy; blades subcoriaceous, semiglossy to matte-subvelvety above, paler and semiglossy below; midrib acute and concolorous above, round-raised, marginally fine, costate, slightly paler below; primary lateral vein acute in deep valleys, concolorous above, acute and paler below; tertiary veins in part raised below; inflorescence spreading-pendant, spathe pale green, hooding; spadix dark violet-purple, matte, 1 cm diam. midway; infructescence dark purplish brown with green pistils emerging.
