Terrestrial on steep bank; internodes short, 2.5 cm diam., dark green, semiglossy; cataphylls deciduous with few fibers at upper nodes; petioles terete; blades subcoriaceous, dark green and matte-subvelvety above, moderately paler and semiglossy below; midrib bluntly acute and moderately paler above, narrowly rounded and paler below, bluntly acute and paler above and below; inflorescence pale yellow, matte; stamens white.
