Shrub along stream, often with sdecumbent stems on rocks. Leaves 1 x 100 cm. Syncarp terminal, sub-elliptic, 4 x 7 cm, hidden by yellow bracts. Stigma brown, 3-5 forked.

Notes
Small shrub (plant ca. 7-8 dm tall), some leaf sheaths persistant on branches. Fruit terminal, a syncarp hidden by numereous yellow bracts, sub-ellipsoid, 3 x 5 cm when immature. Stigma 3-forked. Pistillate inflorescence just emeging from bracts; already somewhat old.
