Treelet to 6 m tall, proproots up to 2 m high on trunk, 5-8 cm DBH. Young individuals with leaves on the whole trunk, then terminal clump of leaves. Leaves c. 5.5 x 220 cm. Infrutescence erect, then pending, yellow when ripped; peduncle 1.5 x 20 cm, holding up to 8 syncarps, c. 7 x 10 cm, sub-ellipsoïd; stigma 2-forked, brown.
