Xishuangbanna Daizuzi-Zhizhou; NW of Menglun-zhen between Menglun-zhen and Jingzu-Xiang on route G213 along a tributary of the Nanban Jiang (Nanban River). Mixed broadleaved evergreen and deciduous forest with Fagaceae and Lauraceae common on steep, unaltered slopes, also Duabanga common along main stream; most of forest on accessible slopes converted to rubber plantations. 830-920 m. elev.

Notes
In thicket on slope, mostly in open, but with trees on each side. Tree; ca. 6 m tall; leaves green on both surfaces, upper surface darker and slightly shining; sepals greenish white; filaments glabrous.
