Remarks

Mixed conifer forest of subalpine fir, Douglas fir, lodgepole pine,and aspen mixed with Artemisia tridentata ssp. vaseyana and snowberry. Substrate sloping. Taproot; opposite leaves, triple nerved; involucral bracts herbaceous, pappus 2 slender awns and fimbriate, scales.
